Get Signal running.

Create your account. Add the tag. Confirm a visit. You can do the setup yourself, use your AI, or hand it to someone who looks after your website.

Before you start

Signal identifies people and companies visiting your website and delivers available matches to your team’s workflow. It’s free to start, with no sales call.

  • Your website address. Use the website you want to connect to Signal.
  • A work email you personally control. The account needs a named person responsible for it. Use an address on your business’s domain; a business alias you personally control is allowed.
  • Someone who can update the website. This can be you, an authorized AI assistant, a developer, your agency, or your website administrator.
  • A U.S. audience. Your company can be based elsewhere; current identity data covers U.S. people and companies.

Signal uses one account per signup email. The email and website must connect to the same business. Their domains do not have to match exactly when that business relationship is clear. Consumer email addresses and genuinely shared inboxes cannot be used as the account owner’s address.

Set up Signal

Create your account

Open Start Signal Free and follow the account steps. Complete the mailbox check and named-owner confirmation shown there. Use Sign in if you already have an account.

The account owner and installer may be different people. You do not need to find an executive’s email just to start. The named owner completes mailbox proof and confirms personal control and responsibility for the business account.

Notifications start with the owner. Where additional destinations are enabled, a shared or team inbox can be separately authorized to receive notifications. Saving an address does not subscribe it to every email purpose or grant account access.

Get your website’s tag

Use the tag and directions supplied for your website in Signal setup. Keep the supplied values intact. If someone else will install it, give them the website address, tag, and full directions.

Add the tag and complete the connection

Add the supplied tag to your website’s <head> section, following the installation directions. Publish the change to the website you submitted.

Follow the connection and privacy-control instructions shown in Signal setup. When setup provides the Predecision-hosted option for your Shopify storefront, use the supplied head script with the current cookie and privacy controls; no Shopify app installation or merchant server is needed. Server setup is required only if you explicitly select a self-hosted relay. Loading the JavaScript file alone does not confirm a real visit.

Check for a real visit

Visit the published website, then check Signal setup for activation confirmation. Keep the website’s required privacy and consent controls in place while checking the connection.

Know what’s confirmed

Each state tells you something different. A first match is not needed to prove that installation and activation worked.

Account created
You have an account. This does not tell you whether the website is connected.
Tag installed
The Signal tag has been added to your website’s <head> section.
Signal active
Predecision has received a real visit through the installed tag from the submitted website.
Match delivered
A visit could be matched and eligible information reached a delivery destination. Some visits cannot be matched.

The shareable activation confirmation identifies the website and the time activation was confirmed. It contains no visitor data and does not establish a match rate or a commercial result.

Hand setup to the right person

You can start Signal even if someone else manages the website. Send your installer:

  • The exact website that needs the tag.
  • The tag and full connection directions supplied by Signal.
  • What has already been done and what still needs access.
  • A request to report the published change so you can check activation.

Share setup materials through a channel your company uses. Keep passwords, account sessions, and email verification links private. An installer needs the access required for the website change.

Give the instructions to your AI

If you get stuck

I can’t finish email verification

Check that the signup address is right, then look in that inbox and its spam folder. Follow the latest message from the account flow in the browser where you started. Keep the full link intact.

If the link has expired or you used a different browser, return to account entry and follow its verification or recovery steps.

The tag is installed, but Signal isn’t active

Check that the change is published on the submitted website, that the supplied tag is in the page’s <head>, and that the connection method and privacy controls match your Signal setup directions. Check server and relay configuration only if you selected a self-hosted relay.

Ask your installer to check for a blocked or failed connection and preserve required privacy controls. A cached page, unpublished change, or script blocked by the browser can prevent a visit from reaching Signal. Use Signal’s activation state as the result.

Signal is active, but I haven’t received a match

Activation means a real visit reached Signal. Matching still depends on matchable traffic and eligible information. Some visits will not produce a match.

Check the account’s delivery destination and any required destination verification. An active tag alone does not confirm that a match has been delivered.

I don’t have website access

Keep your account and hand the tag and complete directions to your website administrator, agency, or developer. They can install the tag; you can return to check activation.

I want to change the emails I receive

Use the email-purpose settings in your Signal account. Those settings control account emails; a general privacy request is a separate action. See privacy choices.

What Signal covers

Signal identifies website visitors. It does not identify every visitor, promise a complete record, or prove that a person is ready to buy. Signal does not include Intentographic data.

Identification does not establish permission to contact someone. Your team remains responsible for its channel choices, consent, and suppression information.

Signal is free to start. Unlimited Signal is a paid option. Audience adds managed data and ongoing maintenance; System adds learning from customer results. You can enter either service directly.
